US, Los Angeles: Florence Water Floods Street Following Crash Into Hydrant

Los Angeles, United States - August 28, 2025 08/28/2025 12:20 am GMT-0700 FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A Chevrolet struck a fire hydrant in the 600 block of East 85th Street around 12:20 a.m., flooding the street, according to initial reports. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported one person to a local hospital. The extent of injuries was not immediately known. Fire crews were unable to shut off the water, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was requested to assist. The Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation.
