An Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin was found stranded on Jambak Sand Beach in Padang, Indonesia, on Saturday night (October 2).

The animal, which was 3 meters long and weighed approximately 200 Kilos, was immediately buried to avoid contamination and the spread of diseases among residents.

A resident named Yose said: "We suspect that these dolphins died due to marine pollution. The dolphin had no injuries".

A dolphin, Saousa chinesis, was found stranded on the Jambak Sand Beach, Tidal City on Saturday night (2 October 2021).

Yose, a resident of Pasir Jambak, said "it is suspected that these dolphins were stranded to death due to polluted sea water because after the flood hit the city of Padang, because there were no injuries to the dolphins' bodies due to the conflict" .

The mammal with a length of 3 meters and a weight of approximately 200 KG was immediately buried to eliminate odors that could trigger disease for local residents.
