A bride halted her wedding ceremony to rescue a young girl in a severe fever-induced convulsion in northern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Lyuliang in Shanxi Province on October 3.

As the wedding ceremony was about to begin, the groom's younger brother frantically informed the gathering about the distressed child. The bride, Ms Chang, without hesitation, rushed to the scene.

Drawing on her expertise, Ms. Chang swiftly administered physical cooling methods and provided crucial advice to the anxious family members. Shortly after, the child was rushed to the hospital for further treatment.

Speaking about her noble gesture, Chang disclosed that she is a professionally trained nurse with a background in paediatrics. She emphasised that saving lives and helping the injured is the duty of medical staff.

"My wedding can be delayed, but the child's health and life are of utmost importance," Chang said.
