Taal Volcano belched a cloud of gas amid continued seismic activity.

Footage shows large white plumes billowing over the volcano in Batangas province, the Philippines, early morning on July 2.

Philippine seismological agency PHIVOLCS said 'moderate' emissions of plumes up to 900 metres tall were recorded.

No volcanic earthquakes were observed.

Taal Volcano had two steam-driven eruptions on June 29, the agency said.

It is under Alert Level 1 indicating low-level unrest.

The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands inside the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' where the majority of Earth's volcano eruptions and earthquakes happen.
