Alligator Removed From Backyard Pool, Safely Relocated Nearby
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A backyard swim took a wild turn when a local family discovered an unexpected guest in their pool — an alligator.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the home in St. Augustine after the gator was spotted taking a dip. Deputy Richardson arrived on the scene and helped safely remove the animal.
Although the alligator was less than thrilled about the end of its pool time — or the patrol car ride — it was secured with a seat belt and safely transported to a nearby pond where it was released.
