A vigilant cop rushed to the rescue of a man, who lost his balance and fell off while getting down a train in western India's Maharashtra.

The incident happened at the Solapur railway station in the eponymous district on August 15.

CCTV visuals showed the Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop, identified as Gagan Pal, patrol platform number one at the station when the 16613 Rajkot-Coimbatore express arrived at the station.

The passenger, named Pankaj Bhosle, was seen losing balance and falling on the platform as he tried to get off the moving train. He fell on the platform and laid perilously close to the gap between it and the train and the cop, rushed instantly to pull him out of harm's way.
