On the evening of March 1st, 2025, a life-threatening emergency unfolded at the TownPlace Suites Hotel in Warren, where a 12-year-old child was pulled unresponsive from the pool. Amid the panic and confusion, Officer Brooklier—already at the hotel on an unrelated call—sprang into action after receiving word from dispatch. He raced to the pool area and found bystanders attempting CPR. Without hesitation, Officer Brooklier took control, positioning the child for rescue and performing chest compressions for two critical minutes. His efforts were instrumental in reviving the child just as the Warren Fire Department arrived to take over care and rush the child to the hospital.

Thanks to the fast coordination between dispatchers, police officers, and the fire department, the child survived and has since been released from the hospital, expected to make a full recovery. The Warren Police Department is commending Officer Brooklier and all first responders involved for their heroic teamwork and unwavering commitment to saving lives. From blocking intersections to speed up the ambulance’s journey to performing life-saving CPR, this incident is a powerful reminder of the dedication and unity among Warren’s emergency responders in protecting their community.
