ST. PAUL, Minn. — A Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office sergeant safely ended a vehicle pursuit after performing a precise PIT maneuver that pinned a stolen car against a tree, allowing deputies to arrest the suspects without injury.

According to the sheriff’s office, the pursuit began when a deputy spotted a stolen vehicle and maintained constant communication with dispatch while coordinating with nearby units. Sergeant “Sticks” executed the PIT maneuver, preventing the suspects from escaping and bringing the chase to a swift conclusion.

Authorities said the suspects were taken into custody and now face multiple charges. The department credited teamwork, communication, and training for ensuring the situation ended safely — with no injuries and, as they noted, “no damage to the tree.”
