This is the dramatic moment firemen dragged a huge python out of a building in the Philippines.

Locals discovered the 12 ft snake inside a pillar at a tailoring shop in Davao on March 31.

Footage captured by resident Hennie Kaye shows a firefighter yanking the animal from the hole.

Moments later, they successfully removed the serpent from the wall and placed it inside a sack.

The snake can be seen struggling to break free. However, the officers managed to restrain it and carefully secured it in the container.

A witness said: 'We heard a crawling sound inside the wall, and when we removed a piece of plywood, we saw the snake. We immediately called the firemen to retrieve it.'

No one was reportedly hurt in the incident.

Pythons are nonvenomous constrictors that prey on rodents, birds, lizards, and mammals. They lack venomous fangs and consume their prey whole by swallowing them.
